What you’ll be doing:
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the processing of accurate information to prepare and facilitate timely management reporting to Mr Apple internal divisions. You will support the Finance Manager to assist with other tasks important to our businesses success as required.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Prepare monthly financial statements and weekly cost management reports, providing analysis & insights to division managers.
· Manage monthly accruals, financial reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and tax compliance (GST and FBT).
· Oversee bank accounts, international payments, and divisional revenues.
· Handle capital expenditure, including asset capitalization and fixed asset register maintenance.
· Contribute to reporting and budgeting, including variance analysis, monthly reporting, and auditor support.
· Take charge of carbon emission reporting and assist with climate-related disclosures.
· Drive process improvements and system enhancements within finance activities.
· Provide support for international debtors, grower pools processing, and the insurance program.
· Develop and maintain Jet Reports and BI reporting systems.
What you’ll bring:
· Minimum5 years’ experience as a Management Accountant or in preparing management accounts.
· Accounting qualification preferred but not essential.
· Strong communication skills to influence, advise, and collaborate effectively.
· High level of computer literacy; adept with technology and quick to learn new systems.
· A team player who enjoys working with others and supporting peers.
· Motivated to learn and grow, with a proactive approach to asking questions.
· Must have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass pre-employment checks.
